Say hello to Pepino’s Spaghetti House.

Carb lovers can rest easy knowing pasta is once again being served at the old location of Nick’s Spaghetti House. Hearts were broken when the popular eatery closed their doors late last year but Pepino’s Spaghetti House is looking to fill the void.

While it might not be Nick’s—the newly open Pepino’s has taken over the spot with a menu full of pasta.

Pepino’s is serving classic Italian fare including: Spicy Rigatoni, Fettuccine Alfredo, House Lasagna, Spot Prawn Linguine and Ricotta-Stuffed Cannelloni. Besides pasta, the restaurant is also serving Calamari, Prime Rib, Veal Cutlet and Chicken Piccata.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, make sure to save room for dessert. They’re serving up Tiramisu, Spumoni Gelato and Almost Famous New York Style Cheesecake with fruit syrup.

The new restaurant is the brainchild of the same team behind Salvio Volpe.

Nick’s Spaghetti House can obviously never be replaced after feeding Vancouverites for 60 years. But Pepino’s is looking to keep the spaghetti cooking and a bit of the magic alive.

They even pay homage to Nick’s with its name. Nick was passionate about the world of horse racing and more specifically revered horse “Spaghetti Mouse’ at the Hastings Race Track. Pepino’s tributes that with its name after the famous Italian mouse.
