Pepino’s Taking Over Nick’s Spaghetti House Location In East Van

Vancouver was heartbroken when the beloved Nick’s Spaghetti House closed their doors late last year. Now a new joint is set to take over the location—Pepino’s Spaghetti House.

The new spaghetti house will feature classic Italian dishes like spaghetti & meatballs, veal parmesan, shrimp scampi and more.

Nick’s was a cherished part of Vancouver’s food scene for over 60 years. Vancouverites lined up to get one last taste of the iconic place before it closed in December.

While Nick’s can never be replaced, Pepino’s hopes to help fill that spaghetti shaped hole in your heart.

Brought to you by the owner of Savio Volpe and Caffe La Tana—Pepino’s pays tribute to Nick’s in its name. Nick was really into the horse racing world and more specifically revered horse “Spaghetti Mouse’ at the Hastings Race Track. Therefore, Pepino’s pays homage to that, being named after the famous Italian mouse in a Lou Monte song.

They’re also going to open a café right next door that sells fresh pasta and all other Italian goods you would normally only find in your Nonna’s pantry.
