The crosswalk is located at Lonsdale Avenue and 14th Street.
The North Shore Pride Alliance helped make this art installation a reality. It also holds the distinct honour of being the North Shore’s first ever rainbow crosswalk.
It's a great day in our city! We just unveiled the new Pride crosswalk at Lonsdale and 14th. It's a symbol of our commitment to inclusion, and a wonderful addition to our City's high street #NorthVan #Pride pic.twitter.com/HJBAJ9UBdZ

“We just unveiled the new Pride crosswalk at Lonsdale and 14th. It’s a symbol of our commitment to inclusion, and a wonderful addition to our City’s high street”.
The City of North Vancouver joins Richmond, as well as Port Moody, as municipalities that have added new rainbow crosswalks this year.
Additionally, over in Burnaby, a circular pride rainbow was also installed earlier this month.
“It’s a great day in our city!” reads a tweet from Mayor Linda Buchanan.
