New Westminster May Get A New 53-Storey Waterfront Tower

A potential new multi-purpose building in New Westminster was announced last year.

Now, Bosa Developments has submitted a permit application to build the tower at New West’s waterfront.

The tower is proposed for the site at 660 Quayside Drive and would stand at a remarkable 53-storeys-tall. The plan for the mixed-use development includes the skyscraper and a 43-storey-tall highrise.

Also included in the proposal for the space: a plaza on Begbie Street, a new 2-acre public park located next to the popular Westminster Pier Park, a child care facility, completion of the waterfront esplanade and more.

In addition to156 one-bedroom units, the residential tower would include 441 two-bedrooms, and 68 three-bedroom suites.

It will also include a lot of parking spaces, with 929 stalls on three levels of underground parking.
