Walker concluded to there being a market available for a new gaming facility south of the Fraser River.

Delta could receive anywhere from $1.5 to $3 million per year in revenue by hosting a casino in the municipality.

In a report to council—George Harvie, the chief administrative officer, suggested The Delta Town & Country Inn as a potential site in mind for the new casino.

The area is close to the 10-lane bridge that will potentially replace the George Massey Tunnel—making it a prime location to attract a large amount of people to the casino.
