More Rewards Data Breach
On October 13, Save-On-Foods says it detected unauthorized activity on one of its servers. It was reportedly “quickly contained” before a third-party cybersecurity expert was brought on to initiate an investigation.
“Our team discovered unauthorized activity occurring on one of our servers on October 13, 2026 and took immediate action that day to shut down the server and launch an investigation with a third-party cybersecurity expert. The incident was quickly contained, and we notified the appropriate authorities and privacy regulators,” notes the More Rewards website.
“Based on the information available,” no personal information such as credit card data, transaction history, and passwords were accessed. But, information including names, addresses, dates of birth, email addresses, and phone numbers were accessed.
The Pattison Food Group, which owns Save-On-Foods, did not mention how many customers were affected by the data breach.
“We take our responsibility to protect personal information seriously and regret any inconvenience this may cause.”
My Information Was Accessed. What Do I Do?
Customers are advised to be cautious of unusual or unexpected emails, text messages, or phone calls, especially those that include the following:
- Request personal or financial information
- Ask for payment
- Create a sense of urgency or pressure
- Ask you to select an unexpected link
- Ask you to open or download an attachment
“If something does not look or feel right, do not respond, open any links or attachments, or provide personal information. Instead, verify the request using contact information you already know to be legitimate, rather than contact information contained in the message.”
More Rewards says that it will “never contact you for sensitive information.”
