Mike Tyson is currently in the 416 this week (Toronto) for a scheduled performance of his show the ‘Undisputed Truth’ (which was in Vancouver earlier this year)
Earlier in the week, Tyson met with Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. On Wednesday September 10, he made a stop at the Canadian news channel CP24 to speak with reporter Nathan Downer live on air.
At one point of the interview, Downer asked Tyson about meeting with the mayor and how some of the mayors critics said that Mayor Ford should not have met with a “convicted rapist.” This was clearly the wrong thing to say and Tyson let it be known.
“I don’t know who said that,” he said. “You’re the only one I heard say that, you know what I mean? And I don’t have no comment to that. Because it’s negative and you’re being negative and I met the Mayor. There’s nothing they can do about it.”
Tyson seemed to cool down but couldn’t hold back. See the footage below to see what happens.
Most people felt like Mike Tyson was holding back. Given Tyson’s past interviews 10 years ago, this one ended a lot more peaceful.
