Here’s what you need to know about this weekend’s weather so your plans aren’t totally rained on.

Thunderstorms in Metro Vancouver this Weekend

The forecast for Vancouver in general looks fairly rainy. Although Friday is warming up with a high of 24 (except 31 inland), there will be an increase of cloudiness in the afternoon. According to Environment Canada’s predictions, there’s also a 40% chance of showers overnight.

But that’s just the beginning. Following that, Saturday looks like it’ll have a 60% chance of showers with a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. A high of 21 means that while it’ll be rainy,  it’s still going to be quite warm throughout the day.

Sunday is much of the same, bar the thunderstorm. Periods of rain will appear in the day with a high of 21.

Will There Be Thunderstorms Everywhere in the City?

Chances are, yes.

Environment Canada is predicting thunderstorms all throughout Metro Vancouver, meaning that your neighbourhood could see them on Saturday afternoon.
