New Year’s Eve is almost here and what better what to ring in 2020 than to get glammed up and celebrate it in style at one, or several, parties?

There are so many events happening this year in Vancouver that it may be difficult to choose just one, but we’re here to help you out.

So, here’s our guide to the best New Year’s Eve parties in Metro Vancouver this year.

New Year’s Eve Parties for 2020

Gatsby’s House Party

With the ‘20’s returning, a Gatsby-themed party may be just the way to celebrate. This hotel event encourages 1920’s outfits. It also has two floors with DJs to make your night the bee’s knees.

Waterfront Gala Ball

This chic and sassy party has sold out for the last 10 years, but this time around there are still tickets available. This is for those 25 years and older and is meant to be a classy affair.

Location: Fairmont Waterfront Hotel – 900 Canada Place, Vancouver

New Year’s Eve Boat Party

Make your New Year’s plans blow your friends out of the water. This boat party offers four hours out on sea on this 3-deck luxury cruise.

Speakeasy Yacht Party

Why not make like Gatsby and celebrate the return of the ‘20’s on a fanciful yacht? Join this prohibition-themed party on a two-deck yacht over a three hour cruise.

New Year’s Eve Brew Party

This party is a chance to kick back with your friends and enjoy a beer as you celebrate. DJ Happy Jack will be spinning tunes all night as you celebrate the new year.

Crafts Black and White Party

Start off 2020 with a beer in hand at CRAFT Beer Market. Here, you’ll also get to choose from a menu of hand-crafted canapés, before you head out on the dance floor.

New Year’s Pub Crawl

When you can’t decide on just one venue, you may as well try a few. This pub crawl will take you to four venues across Vancouver and will get you there on a party bus. This event is meant for everyone, but is primarily aimed at college students.

Space Odyssey

Try a party this year that’s out of this world. The Waldorf is hosting a space-themed party with four rooms named after different planets. Throughout the club, you’ll find six DJs and two bands.

Naughty Little New Years

This naughty little party offers some entertainment before it all gets started. Comedian Patrick Maliha is starting the night as MC before handing it over to comedian Glenn Wool, K.C. Novak, and burlesque dancer Barbara Beall.

Suburban New Year’s Eve Parties

Glitz & Glamour

If you’d rather stay in the burbs, Glitz & Glamour may be the spot for you in Burnaby. This gala, dinner and dance party has three different dance floors at the Hilton hotel. Here, you’ll find the best in Top 40, Funk, Latin, Old School, and Caribbean music.

California Dreaming

For another party outside of Vancouver, California Dreaming is sure to be the hottest party in Coquitlam. With a wide selection at the buffet, a balloon drop and a tropical theme, this party at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver is the place to be.

Bollywood Dhamaka

Celebrate New Year’s Bollywood-style! This party will feature some of Vancouver’s best Bollywood singers, performances and a full course Indian buffet dinner.

Location: Taj Park Convention Centre – 8580 132 Street, Surrey

And as a reminder, fireworks are not happening at Coal Harbour this year, but you can still end 2019 with a bang at these parties.
