Sad news out of Richmond as a Victoria man has died in a horrific accident at Extreme Air Park.

Jay Greenwood, a father of two, was visiting the trampoline park with his children. While jumping from a raised trampoline, Grenwood broke his neck upon landing in the foam pit.

Richmond RCMP confirmed that officers attended to an incident on Triangle Road. While they wouldn’t confirm details, the RCMP stated they responded to a 46-year-old man who had died from serious injuries and cardiac arrest. An investigation is ongoing.

The incident has raised many questions about the facility’s safety and if changes are needed to be made to ensure something like this never happens again.

According to a Facebook post by Charlie Bouzakis, “the facility has zero first aid to deal with all the bumps and bruises that will happen in life, especially at a higher risk activity centre such as this”.

Before entering the park, all guests are required to sign a waiver form acknowledging risks and responsibilities during their visit.

Extreme Air Park has issued a statement expressing their staff is devastated over the death, and customer safety is its highest priority at the facility.
