Magnitude 4.9 Earthquake Hits Vancouver

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 was recorded near Saanich, British Columbia at approximately 11:40pm Tuesday night.

The seismic activity is reportedly 42 km deep.

Victoria residents reported the quake lasted up to 10 seconds, and majority of the people in metro Vancouver reported the shaking lasted approximately 4 seconds.

Early reports indicate no injuries, or damage.
