There are nearly a dozen movies filming in Vancouver this summer and Julia Roberts will join the latest production come July 18.
The Academy Awards winner will play as Isabel Pullman, the co-lead of R.J. Palacio’s Wonder, a film adaption of the author’s young adult novel.

Joining Roberts will be Jacob Tremblay, the young nine-year-old actor from Langley who has been taking Hollywood by storm and recently earned the ‘Best Actor’ award at the Canadian Screen Awards for his performance in Room.
Tremblay will play as Isabel’s son, Auggie Pullman, a young boy with a facial deformity who struggles to fit in at a new school.
Stephen Chbosky will direct the drama film, which is listed under the production title “Washer” in the Directors Guild of Canada productions.
Wonder is scheduled to hit the big screen on April 7, 2017.
