For the second time this week, a hungry bear has broken into a North Vancouver car in search of food, this time in the Deep Cove area.
Earlier today, the North Vancouver RCMP revealed an unknown bear broke into a vehicle parked in front of a home on Panorama Drive in the early morning hours.

According to the police, the owners woke up and found their car with broken windows, a dented door, and car seats ripped apart.
“The unknown bear left numerous paw prints, claw marks and fur. There was evidence that it had consumed a box of protein bars that had been left in the vehicle,” said the RCMP.
A similar incident occurred on the North Shore just a few days prior which ultimately resulted in a hungry bear causing $10,000 to a vehicle.
Police are using both incidents as a reminder to not leave food in vehicles.
