Transport Canada has just issued a recall regarding a sudden loss of power in certain vehicles. This leads to an increased risk of crash, putting motorists and pedestrians in danger. Corrective actions are currently being advised, with Transport Canada recommending the next steps for owners.
Honda Recall In Canada
The recall concerns Honda brand vehicles, listed under “Powertrain” issues. Specifically, “under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the integrated control module to reset.” If the reset occurs, then the wheels could lose power.
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could then result in an increased crash risk. This recall affects 6,632 vehicles across Canada.

Transport Canada notes that Honda will be notifying owners by mail, as well as advising them to take their vehicle to a dealership to update the integrated control module software.
