Lunar New Year is fast approaching, and the Greater Vancouver Zoo is celebrating all weekend!
For their Spring Festival this Family Day Weekend, you can enjoy three whole days packed with culture, animals, and family fun with your admission. Even more exciting is that certain guests can even get FREE admission into the zoo!
Spring Festival
The Greater Vancouver Zoo’s Spring Festival has tons of offerings for you, your friends and family to celebrate the Lunar New Year with. You can expect food trucks serving up delicious bites from 11:00am to 7:00pm, as well as a special long weekend menu from the Oasis Kitchen.
The Cultural Marketplace will be open from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. Here, you can find a variety of vendors, including the Hanfu Cultural Association, who will be providing traditional crafts and experiences including Hanfu try-on, paper cutting and more! There will also be daily Lion Dance performances, meet and greets, and Chinese sugar painting.

For the animal-lovers, be sure to check out the specially scheduled animal spotlights. There will be education talks involving several of the animals from the 12 Zodiacs, and will explain animal behavior, conservation, and enrichment. Free Admission To The Greater Vancouver Zoo
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, the Greater Vancouver Zoo is offering free general admission on February 14, 15, and 16 for anyone born in the Year of the Horse.
