Good Co Bars Is Dropping a Bold New Canadiana Menu This April, Minus the Clichés

Good Co. Canadiana Menu

If you’ve ever wished Canadian comfort food had just a bit more swagger, Good Co Bars is about to deliver. Launching this April, their brand-new menu is a love letter to Canadian flavours but without all the tired stereotypes.

Instead, think Montreal smoked meat stacked just right, maple syrup poutine that actually makes sense, and a Halifax-style donair so legit it’ll make East Coasters do a double take. It’s all part of a culinary revamp happening at all five Good Co locations—Granville, Kitsilano, Main Street, Northwoods, and Steveston.

A New Era of Canadian Comfort Food

The new menu was developed by Executive Chef Kevin Reimer in collaboration with North Vancouver’s Bear Roach, and it’s easily the most refined and fun offering from Good Co yet. It taps into nostalgic cravings but flips them on their head with fresh ingredients, sharp technique, and a cheeky sense of humour.

“We wanted to honour the flavours that define this country,” said Chef Reimer. “But in a way that felt real and exciting, not like a souvenir shop snack bar.”

And real it is. The menu includes:

  • Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwiches with Hobb’s world-famous pickles
  • Maple Syrup Poutine
  • Halifax Donairs
  • Moon Mist Ice Cream (yes, really)
  • Sticky Toffee Date Squares (a family recipe from Chef Reimer’s grandma)

Comfort Food Gets a Culture Boost

While the classics anchor the menu, there’s no shortage of crowd-pleasers with wide appeal. The updated selection includes:

  • Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup
  • Hot Honey Mac & Cheese Bites
  • Crispy Cauliflower with house made curry ranch
  • Refreshing Hummus Plate for those looking for a lighter bite

It’s the kind of menu that works whether you’re fuelling up for a Canucks game, rolling into a late brunch, or just looking for something that hits the sweet spot between indulgent and elevated.

A Brand That’s Growing Up

Once known strictly as a place to pre-drink or watch sports, Good Co Bars is stepping into a new lane. With this menu launch, it’s clear the brand wants to evolve and not just serve bar food, but serve something memorable. Something a little more local, a little more thoughtful, and a lot more delicious. This is not your typical Canadian-themed menu. It’s something smarter, saucier, and built for people who actually live here. Whether you’re nostalgic for a taste of home or just looking for the city’s next great comfort bite.

Founded in Kitsilano back in 2012 (originally as Colony Bars), Good Co now stretches across the Lower Mainland, offering a laid-back vibe that’s grown up without losing its energy.

From downtown dance floors to North Shore hangouts, it’s become one of the city’s most consistent places to grab a drink, catch a playlist that never misses, and now enjoy some seriously dialed-in eats.

Where to Try the New Menu

The new Canadiana menu rolls out this April at all five Good Co Bars:

  • Granville
  • Kitsilano
  • Main Street
  • Northwoods (North Van)
  • Steveston

No reservations needed. Just show up hungry and ready for something new.
