Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Fraser Valley, including Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Hope.
There is an expected snowfall for the South Coast to take place overnight and throughout Friday. Along with the snow comes a bitter cold wind chill and reduced visibility from the blowing snow.
Snow In The Fraser Valley
According to the statement by Environment Canada, there is a bout of cold arctic air that is descending into the province.
Although the snow is said to ease Friday night, an “arctic blast” will cause a few centimetres of snow to land on Saturday as well.
Meanwhile, in Metro Vancouver, another 2 to 4 cm of snow is forecasted for Friday.
Environment Canada states, the forecast will be refined as needed, so please keep a close watch for weather alerts.
