Ford has issued a recall in Canada for over 57,000 vehicles amid fuel tank issues that can lead to increased crash risks and potential fires. The notice is advising drivers on the next steps if they own an affected vehicle model.

Ford Recall in Canada: Fuel Tank Issues
The recall involves Ford F-150 models, including years 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
According to the notice, “on certain trucks, the fuel tank strap(s) may not have been secured properly. As a result, the tank could fall and fuel could leak. If this happens, the engine could stall suddenly.”
If the engine suddenly loses power, it can lead to an increase risk of crashing. Moreover, a fuel leak can create the risk of a fire, and a fuel tank that has separated from the truck can create a hazard for other road users, resulting in more crash risks.
What to Do
Owners will be notified by Ford by mail. They will be advised to take their vehicle to a dealership for inspection and, if necessary, will have the fuel tank strap(s) replaced.
