Coquitlam is a haven for good grub.
With the Evergreen Line now available to commuters, it’s even easier to pop into the suburb for an extended lunch break or dinner date.
RELATED: Best Restaurants In Coquitlam
Whether you’re driving in your cute little Fiat or riding on the fancy new Sky Train, you need to try these five foodie gems while passing through Coquitlam.

Fairways Grill & Patio | 1630 Parkway Boulevard
Dinner and a view! Thanks to one of our readers, we were able to find this gem. Situated in beautiful Westwood Plateau, Fairways offers a mouthwatering menu that perfectly complements the sights. And if you love to golf, you’re in luck since the restaurant hovers over a fairway. What a coincidence, hey? Try the BBQ Baby Back Ribs – the homemade BBQ sauce is worth the trek up to the plateau. Their dessert is divine, too.

Insadong Korean Restaurant | 301-403 North Road
Coquitlam has a plethora of Korean restaurants to choose from; however, Insadong stands out among the rest. The name sounds a bit odd, but don’t let that deter you. This place is great to explore on your own, or even with a big party of your favourite people. Everything on the menu screams Korean cuisine. Cook up your own meats, seafood, and veggies on your very own built-in BBQ crock pot.

Sushi California | 501 North Road
We are surrounded by sushi, just like Starbucks, on nearly every corner at any given time. Which can make it tough to find a diamond in the rough, if you know what I mean. But Sushi California should be on your sushi ‘hit list’. Although the service can be slow at times, the rolls are worth the wait. The Salmon Mountain Roll is one of a kind!

That Place 4 Pasta & Pizza | 932 Brunette Avenue
You know, That Place that creates one of the best pizzas in town? Clever name and even better Italian food. Folks come from all over the 604 just to enjoy a hefty plate of pasta and the great service offered at That Place 4 Pasta & Pizza. We adore the Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi – it’s baked Gnocchi goodness.

Lazzez’s Grill | 2785 Barnet Highway
If you love Indian cuisine, you’ll absolutely salivate over this joint. Lazzez’s whips up exquisite dishes with large portions and loads of spice. Their menu offers everything from classic Indian items to Indo-Chinese specialties. Definitely order the Butter Chicken (with Garlic Naan bread, of course), since it’s simply buttery-chicken heaven.
Shine up your forks and knives, everyone! These are five of the best places to munch in Coquitlam that you’ve got to stop by.
