Returning for another delicious year is Hyatt Regency Vancouver’s Gingerbread Lane, running from November 27 to December 28! As Canada’s longest-running gingerbread display, this beloved holiday tradition brings together the community with the spirit of giving, creativity, and compassion– all under one baked good roof.
This amazing, free event invites you and the family to enjoy a holiday walk through some fantastic baking displays while also supporting Make-A-Wish Canada to help grant wishes to children with critical illnesses.
Giving With Gingerbread
Every year, Hyatt Regency Vancouver’s lobby is transformed into a winter wonderland packed with gingerbread houses. You can expect to see around 30 different creations, all crafted by Vancouver’s talented baking community. And since the participants are divided into four different categories, you’ll be able to spot gingerbread houses that showcase artistry from many walks of life.
All of this is in support of Make-A-Wish Canada. While admission is free to Gingerbread Lane, visitors are encouraged to support Make-A-Wish Canada through the convenient tap-to-donate stations or QR codes located throughout the exhibit. Last year, Gingerbread Lane raised $25,000 to bring wishes to life for children with critical illnesses.
Crowning The Winners
Gingerbread Lane is officially in its 33rd year, which means it’s had plenty of amazing creations throughout each of its events. One year, Gingerbread Lane even made history by creating the world’s largest gingerbread man cookie, as awarded by the Guinness World Records!
Curious about what kind of gingerbread houses you can see this year? Check out 2024’s winners from the Amateur, Professional, and Secondary School categories. All are spectacularly crafted houses, featuring scenes with a treehouse, chapel, and an igloo!
As always, visitors are able to take part in the People’s Choice Award for this year’s gingerbread houses. You can vote for your favourite creation and celebrate the most creative and inspiring design of 2025.
