EA Is Hiring In Vancouver With Some Roles Paying Over $150K

Electronic Arts (EA) is hiring, and they’re on the lookout for folks in Vancouver. If you’ve been looking to break into the gaming industry, then applying to EA is a great start. The gaming giant is currently hiring for roles from rendering software engineers to assistant producers, with plenty of designer opportunities, as well.

On their hiring page, EA says that their Vancouver office (located in suburban Burnaby) is “home to approximately 2,400 employees at an impressive state-of-the-art facility featuring a theater, coffee bars, restaurants, an expansive fitness room, and a full-size soccer field, as well as EA’s worldwide motion capture studio.”

“This campus is the center for development of several of EA’s largest franchises, including EA SPORTS FC, NHL, and UFC, Plants Vs. Zombies and Need for Speed. EA Vancouver also houses development support teams and corporate teams, such as Finance, HR & Facilities, and Legal, and one of the largest motion capture labs in the world.”

Requirements for currently-hiring positions vary by type. For things like engineering jobs, you will need post-secondary education in a related field (or equivalent experience), as well as a strong technical background with game development and research engineering. There’s also positions that have to do with product coordination and management.

As for that $150,000 salary, you would have to apply for the associate producer positions. This would require you to oversee several teams and work closely with leads, producers, and directors.
