Vancouver is becoming a zombie haven. We have it all, from a slew of indie zombie and survival horror movies and shows to big studio productions like AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, the prequel to The Walking Dead.
But our roots go deeper than that. An “open world survival horror beat ‘em up” video game series that was originally developed by Capcom got taken over by Burnaby’s Blue Castle Games (now Capcom Vancouver).

The franchise has also spun off into film, naturally filmed in Vancouver. Dead Rising: Watchtower, a 2015 American action horror zombie flick was released on Crackle last year. The sequel is currently being filmed around Metro Vancouver and will be released Spring 2016.
