There’s nothing classier than high tea, and Neverland Tea Salon in Kitsilano is the best place to head on a girl’s day out.
The dreamy tea salon offers a selection of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, so anyone with dietary restrictions is able to indulge in the sweet treats without guilt. They carry 60 different types of tea, coffee, pastries, salads, and sandwiches.
In addition to high tea, they also have Tipsy Teas, which are tea infused cocktails. These include menu items such as Chai Old-Fashioned, Neverland Pick-Me-Up, and Bran-Tea Alexander. Their house special, Neverland Pick-Me-Up, is a combination of Parallel 49 expresso, Absolut Vanilia, Baileys Almande, Crème de Cacao, and almond milk. Yum!

The name Neverland Tea Salon was the initial start of the whole vision. “It filled me with images of a very special retreat from the chaos of everyday life, where people could check their adult worries at the door and remember what it felt like to be carefree kids,” explained Tatchell.
It’s locally owned, and was created by childhood friends Terri Tatchell and Renee Iaci. Tatchell co-wrote District 9 and Chappie, and Iaci is the owner of Shameless Hussy productions.
