Environment Canada issued a special weather warning for Metro Vancouver this week, which includes sizzling temperatures over 30 degrees.

As such, people will be looking for fun ways to beat the heat across the region. Luckily, the Big Splash Water Park in Tsawwassen offers guests myriad ways to cool off, and one of them is particularly enticing.

The water park opened on June 4th; however, the park just opened one of their most exciting attractions on Saturday, July 21st.

Called the “Boomerango,” the exciting new feature offers a 40 foot drop of thrilling, slippery fun! What’s more, it is the only one of its kind in Western Canada.

Of course, this type of slide is popular around the world. Water parks, such as The Palms In Dubai and Atlantis, also enjoy the electrifying drop.

Big Splash is a seven acre park featuring 13 different water slides, an adult only hot tub, a kids splash park, and a clubhouse.

What’s more, the water park is only a 30-minute drive away from Vancouver. Alternatively, you can even take a complimentary shuttle service directly to the park from the Canada Line’s Bridgeport Station.

Extended park hours began on June 23rd (7 days a week, from 1030am-7pm).
