A Taiwanese-owned Shanghai restaurant with a few locations across the city, although the most talked about location is the one on Ackroyd Road. Located at Richport Town Centre, 160-8111 Ackroyd Road, Richmond, BC.
Shanghai River Restaurant
A restaurant that serves authentic Shanghaiese flavours and provides an elegant environment. The restaurant is typically very busy in the evenings, so it’s recommended you call in advance to make a reservation. Must try’s on the menu include the Chinese Donuts, and one of the many types of crab offerings, we recommend the “Vancouver Crab”. Located at 7831 Westminster Highway, Richmond, BC.
HK BBQ Master
If you can’t decide between a BBQ meal and chinese food, HK BBQ Master is the perfect fusion to satisfy your taste buds. In between casual dining and fast food, the restaurant focuses on Chinese style BBQ meat dishes and offers relatively fast service. Must tries include Char Siu, Roast Pork, and Roast Duck. Kirin Seafood Restaurant
Kirin’s is well known for their accommodating staff and daily specials. The restaurant is spacious and modern, exactly what you’d expect at most Seafood restaurants. In addition to a great lunch and dinner menu, Kirin’s offers amazing dessert. Must tries include the Dim Sum, Fried Eggplant with Shrimp, and Multi layered Custard Cake. It’s important to note that this restaurant does not have Dim Sum carts wheeling around, as all food is made fresh to order. Located at 7900 Westminster Hwy – second floor. Paid parking is in effect within walking distance of the restaurant.
Fisherman’s Terrace Seafood Restaurant
Fisherman’s Terrace is located on the top floor of the Aberdeen Centre, which makes it convenient for those who want to eat and shop, or shop and eat – you decide. The restaurant is large, but fills up fast so it’s advised you make a reservation. Washrooms are located outside the restaurant, which is something to consider for those bringing young children or seniors. Ordering is also a unique experience as guests are given a slip of paper and are asked to “blackout” the menu items they’d like to order. While the service was so-so, their food is a hit. Must tries include Pan Fried Shrimp, and the Beef Rice Noodle Rolls. Located at 4151 Hazelbridge Way, Suite 3580, Richmond, BC.
Sun Sui Wah Seafood Restaurant
Based out of Shatin, Hong Kong, this is one of the most well known restaurants in central Richmond, with a second location in Vancouver. Sun Sui Wah offers an elegant space, large TV screen covering one of the walls, wide variety of menu items, and is on the pricier side when compared to others on the best Chinese restaurants in Richmond list. Must tries include the Alaskan King Crab (7-9.5 lbs), Radish Cakes with XO sauce, and Chive Dumplings. Located at 4940, No 3 Road, Richmond, BC.
