Ever since the Vancouver Canucks traded Corey Schneider to the New Jersey Devils for 19-year old Bo Horvat, there’s been a lot of pressure on the youngster to produce.
Upon the nine-game deadline for that would either send Horvat back to junior or keep him in the NHL, the Canucks decided to go with the latter. But before they told him, the team and coach Willie Desjardins wanted to have some fun.
After their Tuesday morning practice, they had cameras rolling into the locker room to capture the special moment.
“Coach came in the room after video and showed one of my bad clips and then ended off with one of my good clips and asked me which player I’m going to be,” Horvat told the media.
