Nature’s Path Foods was founded over 30 years ago and produces USDA Certified Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified breakfast and snack foods in over 50 countries.
The family-owned operation has hundreds of employees and is headquartered in Richmond, BC. The company is a zero waste leader and exemplifies how it makes business sense.
The company is now the first and only cereal company on the continent to be Zero Waste certified. Two of their facilities have been Gold Level certified by the US Zero Waste Business Council including the one in Delta, BC. The other facility that attained the Zero-Waste Certification is located in Blaine, Washington.

Both facilities currently divert 95 percent of waste from landfills which is 5 percent more than the criteria. Nature’s Path estimates they save $288,000 at the Blaine facility and $56,000 at the Delta facility through their Zero Waste programs.
The benefits don’t stop there as the ‘zero waste economy’ effect continues by supporting local green businesses and recycling companies. A third facility located in Sussex, Wisconsin is on track to be certified by the end of the year.
