Calling all travellers looking to visit the land down under!
Air Canada is offering the first non-stop flight service to Melbourne in Canada, and it’s operating out of Vancouver.
The seasonal four-times weekly service between YVR Airport and Melbourne Airport will kick-off December 1st 2017. It will run until February 4th 2018.
“This is another exciting first for YVR – direct service to Melbourne! We are thrilled that we will soon be able to offer Canadians direct access to this dynamic city and further options for passengers looking to escape the winter to go to Orlando,” said Craig Richmond, President and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. “We are pleased that Air Canada chose YVR as the airport to launch the Melbourne service and feel confident this route will be a success, hopefully leading to year-round service based upon the substantial increase we have seen of Australian visitors to YVR in the last two years.”

Air Canada is also launching a new seasonal twice a week service to Orlando, Florida. This service launches December 20th 2017 and runs until April 8th 2017.

YVR Airport
The YVR Airport was recently named the best airport in the world, for its eight consecutive year. A number of other new flight services have been added to operate out of YVR, including Boston. Air Canada is also offering service to Dallas and increasing service to Los Angeles and San Jose. In addition, the airline is launching the following new routes from YVR this Summer: Denver, Taipei, Nagoya, Frankfurt and London.
