If you’re looking to travel with Air Canada, now might be a good time to do so. Passengers hunting for a deal will be pleased to know that the airline is offering a limited-time deal for their tickets so you can save on fees.

SEAT SELECTION FEES

On Wednesday, the airline announced that they will be pausing Standard Seat selection fees. Customers will be able to “enjoy added flexibility with no change fees and free Standard Seat selection.” These axed fees are applicable to flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, and Air Canada Express.

Regardless of the fare type, you can select a Standard Seat free of charge. Additionally, you will be able to change your flight without paying a fee. Although, this is “subject to availability in the cabin you originally purchased” and a “fare difference may apply.” You can change your flight only once, as well.

AIR CANADA FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS

After the airline’s flight attendant strike– which resulted in hundreds of cancelled flights and many frustrated passengers– it appears that they are attempting to assuage the problems that came from it. A tentative deal has since been reached between them and the union representing its flight attendants.

Still, the company continues to deal with the fallout due to its disrupted flights, and as such has expanded its reimbursement policy, as well as axing Standard Seat selection fees.

You’ll have to be quick if you want to take advantage of this temporary deal, though. It is only applicable for new bookings made between August 27 and September 12.
