Winter is the most magical season to visit BC’s most quaint mountain towns.

There’s something about a snow-covered village and the small town charm to get into the holiday spirit. Plus, mountain towns offer a plethora of activities to explore in Winter.

Adorable BC Mountain Towns

Revelstoke

A popular spot to visit all seasons of the year and for a good reason. But, the bustling little ski town just may be the best getaway to take in the Winter time. Take a stroll through the town, go skiing, dog sledding or snowmobiling.

Nelson

A hidden gem in the Kootenays—this artsy little town is a place you must visit at least once. The friendly locals, eclectic shops and the great outdoors all can be found here. Go skiing, snowshoeing or snowmobiling here this Winter.

Golden

The breathtaking scenery here must be seen firsthand. Escape the city and stay at one of the cozy accommodations nestled in the lush wilderness. Heli-skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and a guided snowmobile tour are just some of the activities you can take on.

This little mountain town is a popular spot for filming, including scenes from Hot Tub Time Machine. Go skiing by day and relax by the fire in a cozy chalet by night. They also have mountain bike trails, an adorable outdoor skating rink and a vibrant arts & culture scene.

Rossland

I love being back in Rossland. There's no place like it. It feels like living in a snowglobe all winter long.
