It’s pure fandom in Vancouver when you run into the cast of Riverdale or walk past a real-life Hollywood North set. There’s plenty of lights, camera and action in town as the May flowers and sunshine gets underway.

Wrapped up
Springtime means some staple Vancouver-filmed shows have wrapped up production for their TV seasons including Arrow, Supernatural, The Flash and Riverdale. Last month, ABC’s Once Upon a Time bid farewell to Vancouver as it wrapped up its series. On the other end of the spectrum, newcomer Fast Layne (a reboot of Herbie) for Disney XD wrapped up filming for its first season. Pilot episodes for The CW’s Charmed reboot and ABC’s new cop show The Mission also took place.
Filming
At least 16 shows are scheduled for production in May including ongoing favourites, newbies and even a pilot episode. They’re being produced for a variety of platforms including cable & network television and streaming services. YouTube Red, Facebook and Netflix all have their fingers in the BC film industry.
