Tis’ the season for hot cocoa, ice skating and mistletoe. To get in the holiday spirit—escape to the North Pole of Vancouver. Grouse Mountain on the North Shore just may be the most magical place for Christmas festivities in BC.

It’s not quite a sleigh, but the skyride takes you up, up and away, with unsurpassed views of Vancouver.

Once you arrive at the top, it’s as if you’ve been transported to a far away place. Take a look at Santa’s Workshop and meet the big guy yourself. You can even meet real-life reindeer, making it an even more unforgettable holiday memory.

Take a wondrous stroll through the Light Walk, with installations set up between fir and spruce trees around Blue Grouse Lake. Feel the snow crunching under your boots as you take in the light tunnel, lanterns and the stunning mountain views as the ultimate backdrop.

For those young at heart, go snow tubing at the sliding zone, or on an actual sleigh ride around the charming Winter Wonderland.

There’s also a Gingerbread Village showcasing lots of unique creations, a craft station, and a letter to Santa station.

To top it all off, nothing can beat skating on the 8,000-square-foot ice pond.

See for yourself why Grouse Mountain is the most magical place to get in the Christmas spirit.
