Transport Canada has issued a recall for over 40,000 vehicles sold in the country due to crash risks.

Volkswagen Recall in Canada
The recall involves multiple Volkswagen and Audi vehicle models, including the 2018 Tiguan, 2018 Altas, and 2019-2021 Audi Q3.
A total of 44,303 vehicles are affected by this recall.
According to the notice, “on certain vehicles, one of the bolts that attaches the steering rack to the subframe could corrode and break. If this happens, the steering rack housing could break and cause a loss of steering control.”
This loss of steering control could create a crash risk.
What to Do
Those with affected vehicles will be notified by mail. The company will advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the right steering rack mounting bolt.
