One woman in B.C. is $675,000 richer after finding out that she won her Set for Life ticket’s top prize.

Sandra F. of Fort Nelson bought the ticket, but then set it aside for a few days. When she later scratched it, she could hardly believe what she was seeing. She grabbed her family to double-check if she had actually just won $675,000.

“My family had gone to bed and I saw the ticket had been sitting there a few days, so I decided to scratch it,” said Sandra. “I didn’t believe that I’d won, so I put it in a drawer and brought it out the next day to have my family check it!”

She used the BCLC Lotto! App to verify the win, and her husband and two sons also read the instructions to confirm that it was actually a winning ticket.

Sandra is going to surprise the rest of her family with “a little celebration.” In the meanwhile, she’s taking some time to decide what to do with her winnings, as well as planning to save and invest some of the money, and help family.

Sandra said it feels “amazing and exciting” to win.

The ticket was purchased at I.D.A. on 50 Avenue in Fort Nelson.

Other Winners

Just recently, a North Vancouver couple scored $500,000 from the September 9, 2026 Lotto 6/49 Draw.

Jackquiline and Waldemar S. discovered their win after scanning their ticket with the BCLC Lotto! App. “I had to scan a few times, just to make sure before I called Jackquiline,” said Waldemar. “I never win anything, so it was hard to believe! I was so happy when I called her and she was too!”

And in March, a Langley man also became $500,000 richer after finding out he won the March 19 draw for the Daily Grand. The man said he discovered the win while at work. Winning that much money would have anyone in disbelief, and that’s how it was for the winner’s wife. Reportedly, he had to show her the screen to prove it. Afterwards, the two went on a nice dinner to celebrate.

If you’re feeling lucky, remember to know your limit, play within it before you buy a ticket.
