CRA Hiring in Vancouver
The CRA is looking for a Trust Accounts Examination Officer. The role revolves around a number of responsibilities, mostly having to do with accounting and taxes.
Some duties include organizing, scheduling, and examining taxpayer’s books, records, and supporting documentation that pertains to unreported income, taxable benefits, and other amounts deducted or held in trust; as well as examining accounting documents.
Notably, you would be doing considerable driving and travelling for part of this job, specifically:
- Driving to appointments in the field 4 days per week. Fieldwork will be included in the 80% work on-site requirement.
- 5-day overnight trip every 6 weeks.
- 12 overnight travel days at least once per year.
Who Can Apply
Canadian citizens and permanent residents can apply, although preference for appointment will be given to veterans first. A valid driver’s license is a must.
You must also have successfully completed a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. You are further asked to have experience of no less than twenty-four (24) cumulative months within the last thirty-six (36) months in at least one of the following:
- Trust Accounts Compliance Inventory (TCNI)
- Employer Accounts
- Corporate Assessment Processing Program
Currently the CRA is looking for applicants in Vancouver, Surrey, Penticton, Prince George, and Victoria. The salary ranges from $70,773 to $79,657, with the application period closing on September 8, 2026 11:59pm Eastern Time.
