Celebrating Taiwanese Heritage Month in Canada (THMC), the Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival will be bringing the best of Taiwanese arts, culture, and heritage to Vancouver this July 2026.

Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival in Vancouver 2026
This year’s Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival will be building off of their 2025 festivities’ momentum, with the festival itself serving as the centrepiece for Taiwanese Heritage Month.
Programming for this year includes a masterclass in traditional Taiwanese performing arts. Expect three iconic cultural troupes from Taichung, Taiwan:
- Shinyifang Taiwanese Opera Troupe
- Jin Yu Yuan Puppet Theatre
- Miao Hsuan Dance Group, featuring traditional folk performances, the “Twelve Grannies” and “Tiger God.”
Attendees can also expect even more fun beyond the main stage. There will be interactive zones and exhibitions, which all offer free admission:
- Taste of Taiwan: Authentic street food, snacks, and specialty souvenirs.
- Cultural Workshops: “Cross-Cultural Story Lamp” making, interactive mural walls, and a creative kids’ zone.
- Arts & Wellness: An Artist Alley, Taiwan Tourism Pavilion, free medical consultations, and a dedicated Taiwanese Cinema showcase.
