On the job hunt? The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is currently hiring for tons of IT positions in Burnaby! If you’ve got the qualifications, you could work for Canada’s national intelligence agency for quite a nice salary.

CSIS IT POSITION REQUIREMENTS

CSIS is hiring for a number of IT Analyst jobs right now. But since these are IT positions, they do require you to have at least graduated from a two-year post-secondary program in computer science, information technology, engineering, network security, cyber security, data analysis, business analytics, data science, or another relevant specialty.

Relevant experience is required, as well. This goes especially for those of you who have a technologist diploma or a professional technologist equivalency designation. You will require at least two years of relevant experience.

Those holding an undergraduate degree only need one year of relevant experience. Higher level education– a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate– in a related field of study can be recognized as experience, too.

CSIS lists a number of specialties that you can work in with them, such as:

  2. IT Service Management and Support
  3. IT End User Systems
  4. Server, Storage, Backup and Cloud Infrastructure (Platforms)
  5. Network Technology and Security
  6. IT Application Support / System Administration
  7. Communication Technology
  8. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
  9. Business Intelligence

To best qualify as an IT Analyst with CSIS, they ask that you have good problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Moreover, adaptability and communication are also important.

This is an entry-level position located in Burnaby that pays from $87,459 to $106,386. The application closing date is January 9, 2026.
