Tensions between Canada and the U.S. are still bubbling, but that doesn’t mean travel is stopping anytime soon. Porter Airlines has just added a new route from Vancouver to Phoenix, Arizona, and the starting prices are ultra-cheap.
PORTER AIRLINES
Known for their fantastic service and affordable flights, Porter Airlines is all about offering a top-quality flying experience at a low cost. They’re always adding new routes and destinations throughout North America, and this time it’s Phoenix.
Beginning February 2, 2026, their flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Phoenix International Airport (PHX) will take off. This will actually be Porter’s first route that connects Western Canada to the U.S., making it quite a monumental moment for the airline.

And it wouldn’t be a Porter flight if the price wasn’t cheaper than you could ever believe.
VANCOUVER TO PHOENIX WITH PORTER
If you’re looking to head down south in the new year, then you definitely won’t get any better value than with Porter.
For just $158, you can book a roundtrip ticket with their Basic fare. Although the Basic class doesn’t come with a carry-on, that might not matter if you’re flying on business, or just heading down to visit for a short time. But even the Standard fare is super reasonable at $195 roundtrip, which includes a carry-on bag.
These prices were found primarily throughout February, March, and April. Although some dates do go up to $200, this is still below the average cost. According to Google Flights, typical prices in early February are between $205 and $275.

But no matter what fare you end up going with, you’ll always get free beer, wine, and snacks with Porter.
