New West Fireworks Festival 2024
Hyack Festival’s “Farewell to Summer Fireworks Festival 2024” is an event not just about the fireworks, but about the celebration of community spirit and togetherness.
This year’s event will take place from 3 pm – 9:30 pm on Saturday August 24.
It will feature market vendors, artisans, live entertainment, a family-friendly beverage garden, fantastic food, and ending with a fireworks extravaganza to captivate thousands of enchanted onlookers.
Live Entertainment & Family-Friendly Beverage Garden (Starting at 3:00 PM)
Immerse yourself in a variety of live music while enjoying the refreshing Fraser River breeze and stunning views of the iconic SkyTrain bridge. There will be a selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages as you relax. Or, hit the dance floor for some fun!
Delicious Treats & Fantastic Food
Treat yourself to delicious snacks from various vendors. Snacks include fresh kettle popcorn, donuts, tacos, dumplings, freshly squeezed lemonade, and much more.
Artisan Market Vendors
Wander along the boardwalk and discover a diverse range of handmade products, perfect for gifts or a special treat for yourself. There’s something for everyone!

Kids’ Activities
Thanks to the support of Queens Park Dental, children will enjoy their own designated area with a variety of free activities, ensuring a fun-filled experience for the entire family. There will be face painting, coloring, crafts, and some active playing.
Community Exhibitors
Engage with local community exhibitors who are excited to share their work and interact with festival-goers. To save all the memories there will be a free photo booth sponsored by Viva Orthodontics.

Fireworks Display (Starting at 9:00 PM)
The evening will culminate in a spectacular 15-minute fireworks display over the New Westminster sky. The fireworks will be launched from a barge on the Fraser River.
