According To Vancouver Police, Most Victims of Cybercrime Are Not Seniors, But Millennials

Your grandparents may have trouble using their phone and your parents may have difficulty getting the printer to work, but new data from the Vancouver Police Department shows that when it comes to cybercrime, it’s millennials that have the most trouble.

According to CBC, the Vancouver Police Department found that “from Jan. 1, 2017 to March 21, 2018, people aged 19 through 35 represented almost half of all victims of cybercrime in Vancouver.

In addition, of those reported cybercrimes, the VPD said 51 per cent were fraud related, with losses totaling over $1 million.”

Each video of this campaign talks about one of the aforementioned categories of cybercrime, with a very fashionable grandmother calling out these scenarios for what they are: scams. #NanaSays.
