5 Things To Do In Squamish During The Squamish Valley Music Festival

One of the summers most highly anticipated outdoor festivals is right around the corner and music fans couldn’t be more excited.

The Squamish Music Festival is the largest outdoor music festival in Canada, and will take place at the Logger Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields in Squamish, British Columbia, August 8, 9 & 10, 2014 and will feature over 70 performers including headliners Bruno Mars, Arcade Fire and Eminem.

Whether you’re in town for the Festival, just visiting for the weekend, or are a member of the community, there’s lots to do for everyone.

Ride The Sea to Sky Gondola

The Squamish Valley Music Festival is excited to announce their partnership with the new Sea to Sky Gondola to provide Festival guests with the opportunity to ride the gondola 880m above beautiful Squamish. Throughout the Festival weekend, pop-up bands will be performing at the Summit Lodge at the top of the gondola. This 9,000 square foot viewing deck offers fresh local cuisine and beverages on a patio that overlooks Howe Sound on one side and Sky Pilot Mountain on the other. The views are breathtaking and it has been noted that the Squamish Lodge deck could be one of the best patios in all of Canada. Sea to Sky Gondola will be offering Festival guests $5.00 off gondola rides when they show their Festival wristband or coupon at the ticket window before 1:00pm each day. A complimentary shuttle will pick up and drop off guests at the Squamish Adventure Centre.

Drop By The Squamish Adventure Centre

Open for all of your tourist needs and desires, the Squamish Adventure Centre will be the epicenter for extreme thrill and excitement this Festival weekend. Located just over 1km away from the Festival grounds on Loggers Lane, visitors are welcome to stop by to rent a bike, book an activity, ask a question, grab lunch at Caffé Garibaldi, shop The Squamish Store (with a 10% discount for Festival wristband holders), or catch your Sea to Sky Gondola shuttle.
