The annual Miss Teen Canada event took place this past weekend, and a 17-year old from Fort Langley B.C., came out on top to be crowned the winner.
Shalom Reimer, who was previously named Miss Teen BC last July, took first place at the special ceremony in Laval, Quebec.
Off the stage, Reimer is a grade 12 student, singer, dancer, and an aspiring model. She’s height involved in her schools mentorship program, which aids and educates younger girls on real-life issues, and how to overcome them. She hopes to use her latest title to influence and set a positive example for others in the community.
Reimer’s mother, Caroline, also won a pageant in 1988, when she was crowned Miss Teen Saskatoon at the age of 16.
