Surrey is set to host a number of different events throughout November for everyone to take part in.

November 3 | Surrey SPCA Red Carpet Affair

SPCAThe Surrey BC SPCA Education & Adoption Centre is hosting a very special evening in support of abused, abandoned, and neglected animals in the Surrey community. “Love is in the Air: A Red Carpet Affair”, aims to help bring awareness to current animal issues in our community and province. The event will be hosted on Friday, November 3rd at the Northview Golf & Country Club from 5:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

November 4 | North Surrey Handmade Winter Market

Maan FarmsThe North Surrey Handmade Winter Market is back this year on Saturday, November 10th, 2017. From 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., sort through vendors and begin your holiday shopping early.

November 4 | Filipino Festival

Experience the vibrant culture of the Filipines on Saturday, November 10th, 2017. From 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., enjoy Filipino food sampling, live performances, storytime, ukulele music, and a selfie station courtesy of the Youth Leadership Team. Admission is free.

November 5 | AOS Surrey: Pussycat Dolls Inspired Heels Workshop

Join Army of SASS on Sunday November 5th from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30p.m. for an hour and a half workshop at DanceWest with Shay. This time they doing it Pussycat Dolls style! Tickets are $20.

November 8 | Garden Light Festival at Bear Creek Park

The City of Surrey and Telus PureFibre invite you to come on out for some free family entertainment! Garden Light Festival at Bear Creek Park takes place on Wednesday, November 8th and Thursday, November 9th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The trails and the trees will be illuminated for two nights this year. Grab a hot drink, make a lantern and prepare to be wowed as you wander through an ever changing display of colours!

November 8 | Art Together Lantern Making Workshops

Surrey Art Gallery’s Art Together group is going to help you make a collaborative lantern at this interactive workshop. It takes place on Wednesday, November 8th and Thursday, November 9th from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. After you are done, take your lantern to the Garden Light Festival in nearby Bear Creek Park.

November 11 | Remembrance Day Ceremony at PK Cenotaph

November 16 | Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival

The Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival returns this year from Thursday, November 16th – Sunday, November 19th, 2017. This annual event helps connect directors, actors, producers, community organizations, corporate brands and South Asian cinephiles. An assortment of moves will be shown throughout the 4 days.

November 18 | 5th Annual Holiday Craft Fair

Over 50 vendors, crafters, and artisans will be showcasing their work at the 5th annual Holiday Craft Fair. Admission is free. The day begins at 9:00 a.m. and runs until 3:00 p.m.

November 18 | Carnival Skate

Grab your skates and have a fun time skating with your family. Drop-in will take place at South Surrey Arena (Saturday, November 18 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.) and Newton Arena (Sunday, November 19 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.)

November 23 | The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid, put on by FVGSS, A Musical Theatre Company plays at the Surrey Art Centre from Thursday, November 23rd – Sunday, December 3rd, 2017. Follow young Calypso and see her obsession with the world above the waves. Tickets range from $10 – $25.

November 25 | Surrey Tree Lighting Festival

On Saturday, November 25th, 2017, the Surrey Tree Lighting Festival returns to City Hall. Join Mayor & Council as they flip the switch to light the City of Surrey’s official Christmas tree. This free, family event, presented by Coast Capital Savings, will feature a 55-foot Christmas tree, Christmas Market, and activities for all ages. Numerous performances will also take place throughout the event. This year’s event will be headlined by Ruth B.

November 25 | Santa Photos with SALI

Enjoy photos with Santa, dog nail trims by donation, refreshments, face painting, raffle prizes, multiple vendors & demonstrations, games for the kids, and much more. It all takes place at Dog Utopia Daycare & Spa from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

November 25 | 4th Annual Katzie Elementary Holiday Market

The 4th Annual Katzie Elementary Holiday Market returns on Saturday, November 25th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 40-50 local artisans will be displaying their treasures to sort through. Admission is $2.
