A whopping 30,000 Vancouverites showed up for the annual 420 Festival at the Vancouver Art Gallery this year. Those in attendance enjoyed performances, speeches advocating the legalization of marijuana, and free pizza!
Large crowds have traditionally gathered outside the Vancouver Art Gallery every year on April 20th since 1997 to ‘light up’ together at 4:20 p.m. With the addition of social media, the number of attendees has nearly tripled over the years, making the event one of the largest celebrations of its kind in North America.
