What they had to say about it: This is my favourite place to grab tacos in town! Not only are these tacos cheap and delicious, but there’s a wide range of flavours including roast lamb and slow roasted pork. However, the best part is definitely their self serve sauce station. I personally love my tacos with the chunky tomato sauce!

Pro-tip: if you go during their Happy Hour (3 pm to 6 pm daily; 11 pm to close from Sunday to Thursday), you can get their tacos for just $1.99!

What they had to say about it:  This restaurant is by far the most authentic Mexican experience I’ve encountered in Vancouver.

They make their tortilla from scratch on the spot. Yes, you heard right, from scratch! If you are a sucker for live action cooking like myself, you are going to absolutely love this place. They make corn tortilla shells fresh — the ones that get unused gets deep fried and turned into fresh tortilla chips.

For the tacos, you can get traditional Mexican fillings that you don’t often see in Vancouver like plantain, lengua (beef tongue), carnitas, and more. They even have horchata, a Mexican staple drink fitting for all occasions.

This place has a delicious variety of eats from tacos, fried tortilla chips to enchiladas along with a giant list of refreshing drinks including our personal favourite, bulldogs. To top it off, they have a beautiful patio for you to enjoy your meal. We highly recommend you to check out this place!

What they had to say about it:  I am a sucker for steak and tacos so naturally, carne asada tacos are my favourite. Tacofino’s grilled wagyu steak taco is hands-down my favourite taco in the city and a must-have every time I visit. The steak is juicy, tender, and goes perfectly with pickled veggies and black garlic mayo. Definitely a must-try!

What they had to say about it: When one thinks of tacos, the savoury Mexican tacos naturally come to mind. But being a dessert lover, I prefer a sweeter kind of taco. Every Tuesday, Rain or Shine Ice Cream offers a special dessert treat: Ice Cream Tacos. You can build your waffle taco shell with 2 scoops of ice cream of your choice, and customize it with your favourite toppings. The ice cream taco comes with 1 complimentary topping, additional toppings are $1 extra each.
