KPLU-FM is the public broadcaster behind the School of Jazz mentoring program in Seattle which pairs professional jazz musicians with high school band-goers .

As part of the 30th TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival this year, KPLU put together their first international School of Jazz studio session. Point Grey Secondary School’s award-winning jazz band was featured and film students from Capilano University produced a short documentary, “The KPLU School of Jazz from Vancouver”, about the Point Grey jazz program:
