The highly anticipated third installment of the Bad Boys movie franchise will be released 25 years after the original one.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence showed off their chemistry and dazzled the screen with action and humour in 1995’s Bad Boys. It took 8 years for a sequel to hit theaters with Bad Boys II in 2003.
Now fast forward to 2020 when we will see the duo reunite and reprise their roles for Bad Boys for Life, the third film in the series.
There’s some major Vancouver connections to Bad Boys 3 as the rest of the cast has been announced.
Among others including Vanessa Hudgens is Vancouver-born actor Alexander Ludwig.
The 26-year-old’s past work includes Race To Witch Mountain with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and The Hunger Games. He’s most known for his current role in the epic History Channel drama Vikings.
The Canada-Ireland co-production is currently airing its fifth season and has been renewed for a 20-episode sixth season. Ludwig stars as Bjoorn Ironside, son of Ragnar Lothbrok.
Another connection between Vancouver and Bad Boys 3 is newly announced cast member, Charles Melton. He plays Reggie Mantle in the uber popular Vancouver-filmed teen drama Riverdale series for The CW.
Reaching a bit further and Vanessa Hudgens who was in town last year filming the short-lived DC Universe sitcom series Powerless has also joined the cast of Bad Boys 3.
