Colonel Chris Hadfield is coming to Vancouver in honour of Canada’s 150th birthday this Friday at the Orpheum Theatre.The event will be suitable for fans of all ages, as Chris is expected to customize his performance for each audience with hopes of leaving everyone with the sense that Canada is “out of this world”. Tickets range from $29.50 – $79.50, with the show beginning at 8:00 p.m.

This Sunday, The Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra will celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday in grand style, with a full program of Canadian works and guests. This includes composers Bramwell Tovey, Frederick Schipizky, Christopher Nickel, Mark Haney, Mark Armanini, violinist Trent Freeman and the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra. The show takes place at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, starting at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.
