March 25 | Pacific Ptsd Awareness 5km Walk/run

On March 25th 2018, the Pacific PTSD Awareness Society will be hosting the third annual 5km Run/Walk in Abbotsford at Mill Lake Park in support of creating wellness in the workplace linked to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

This amazing event will be the third annual run/walk for all first responders and the community in promotion of PTSD awareness.

March 30 | Maan Farms Easter Egg Hunt

BC’s Biggest and most fun filled Easter egg hunt is back! Organizers are offering full access to their famous family-fun attraction area during the hunt! Come out and take part in this exciting event from Friday, March 30th – Monday, April 2nd, 2018.

Bring the family and take a hay ride down the Bunny Trail and embark on an egg hunt. Find an egg-stra special egg in the apple orchard and you could even win a family pass to the Applebarn for this fall!

The Abbotsford Carnival returns to Seven Oaks Mall from Friday, April 6th – Sunday, April 8th, 2018.

April 9 | Abbotsford Tulip Festival

The Abbotsford Tulip Festival is an hour drive away from Vancouver and will give you the ultimate backdrop for those Instagram posts.

While your feed will likely be flooded with photos of the perfectly colour coordinated fields, it doesn’t quite compare to seeing it in person.

April 18 | Chambers of Commerce Business Showcase

Meet hundreds of people from all over the Fraser Valley for the opportunity to expand your network! There will be over 60 exhibitor booths to make your way through.

April 22 | Abbotsford Earth Day 2018

May 27 | Run for Water: 10K Run

For the 11th year, Envision Financial Run for Water is hosting a multi-distance race event, including Half Marathon, 10k Run, and 5k Fun Run. When you register to run, you have the option of running solo, or creating a team to run together.

May 27 | BeYOUtiful Bridal Wedding Show

The BeYOUtiful Bridal Wedding Show takes place at Best Western Plus Regency Inn & Conference Centre on Sunday, May 27th. Guests will have an opportunity to visit with 20+ wedding/party vendors.

June 2 | The 5k Foam Fest Abbotsford

The 5K Foam Fest is a one of kind Obstacle Course based fun run. Join this event for 22+ obstacles including the world’s largest inflatable waterslide, mud pits and 2.5 MILLION cubic feet of foam! Rock out all day to 12,000 watts of awesome music, enjoy a FREE kids zone for kids 7 and under, delicious food, great vendors and beer gardens.

June 8 | Friday Night Blues Jam

The Fraser Valley Blues Society holds a monthly Blues Jam at the Eagles Hall on Essendene.

Musicians bring your axe, sticks, harp, instrument of choice or voice. Audience bring your great spirits, friends, family and cheer the musicians on, shake your booty and have a great time!

June 9 | Superhero Party

Club Eden will convert the club into their own DC Comics Gotham City with Batcave, Iceburg Lounge, Gobos, lights, fog, comic book decor and other great effects. You can come as your favourite sexy superhero, evil villain, or you can create your own.

March 29 | Chilliwack Tulip Festival

The beautiful flower of the tulip is in full blossom, and will be celebrated with the return of the 12th annual Chilliwack Tulip Festival this Spring.

The festival will have an abundance of breathtaking fields of tulips, featuring over 20 acres of brightly coloured bulbs for the eye to absorb – perfect for those Instagram shots.

In addition the tulips, there’ll be two acres of hyacinths, three acres of peony daffodils, fairy doors among the tulips, flower mosaics, a “World Friendship” tulip display, and a “Canada 150” tulip display.

March 30 | 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Kids will be able to take pictures with the Easter Bunny, jump on the giant jumping pillow, cruise around on the pedal carts, run through the indoor hay bale maze, visit the animals and much, much more. Various craft and game stations will also be set up along with face painting and a concession lunch.

March 31 | Easter Egg Hunt & Luncheon

Come and join the fun at Kilby Historic Site’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Luncheon! There’ll be candy bags for everyone as children search the farmyard for Easter eggs.

April 7 | Heron Walk

Come and enjoy this guided April heron walk. By now there will be clutches of 3 to 5 eggs in most nests and brooding behaviour will be observed.

April 7 | Mom’s Market

This market is planning to host a Kids Swap Meet as well as have a home-based business area. If you are interested in reserving a table for either selling some gently used kids clothes, toys or baby gear, or if you have a home-based business or want to sell some home-made products, let us know!

This Mom’s Market will be in the Eastern Hillsides at Unity Christian School (in the elementary gym).

May 12 | Chilliwack’s Art of Wine Festival

Back for a fifth installment after four incredible years, this amazing event will once again fill The Centre with live entertainment, delectable appetizers, and fantastic wines! All proceeds from this event go toward supporting the Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society’s thriving arts and crafts programming.

May 12 | Mother’s Day High Tea

Take a drive out to the quiet countryside this Mother’s Day weekend and escape for a more relaxing afternoon out with mom. A lovely array of local and organic teas from New Moon Tea Co., scones, jams, and mini sandwiches will be served for your enjoyment. Door prizes will be drawn at each sitting time on both dates.

The “Cooks” will be showcasing their skills and talents, while preparing and demonstrating their speciality recipes all day long for the “Tasters” to enjoy! This special class will focus on breathing techniques, the nature of the mind and gentle yoga postures to soothe the body and mind.

March 31 | Molten Blues Band

They are putting together a mini “In Your Hood Tour”, hoping to play in 20 different neighborhoods around the Lower Mainland and build their fan base and promote venues that support Live Music in those regions.

April 1 | Elks Easter Egg Hunt

springThe Elks Easter Egg Hunt returns to Fraser River Heritage Park. Expect plenty of fun games and an appearance by the Easter Bunny!

April 7 | The Kwerks at The Railyard

The Kwerks have made a splash wherever they’ve tested the waters. Having released two EPs in 2016, they were featured in a Dominion Lending Centres national commercial campaign. Tickets are $15 for their Fraser Valley show.

April 8 | BeYOUtiful Bridal Wedding Show

See 25+ wedding & party vendors at this giant one day wedding show in the Fraser Valley. Moreover, brides and grooms get in for free.

April 9 | Gentle Flow Yoga With Christy

You’’l begin with a gentle warm up sequence to heat up your bodies followed by lengthening poses and deep breathing exercises. This is a great place to start if you are new to yoga! Admission is $37 for four weeks.

April 10 | NEW: Tunisian Crochet for Beginners

In this Tunisian crochet class, you’ll learn the basics about Tunisian crochet hooks and how to hold them when working Tunisian stitches, how to work the Tunisian foundation row by opening and closing stitches. This foundation row is the basis from which all Tunisian projects are built, and the basic Tunisian stitches.
