Winter Storm To Slam Sea-To-Sky Highway With Up To 20 cm Of Snow

More snow is on the way for the Sea-To-Sky Highway.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Sea to Sky – Squamish to Whistler and the Howe Sound.

An approaching Pacific frontal system will spread snow over the Howe Sound and the Sea-to-Sky Highway from Squamish to Whistler today. Up to 20 cm of snow is expected to come down.

Snow is expected to begin this afternoon and will intensify tonight. Additionally, strong northeast outflow winds may reduce visibility in blowing snow.

Come Wednesday, the snow will change to rain.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
